SNL Star and Comic Movie All Star Rob Schneider Returns To Atlanta's Punchline July 1-3

The Punchline - Atlanta's premier comedy club!

I am told that comedians have a list of clubs that they like to work when it comes time to road test the next special's material. So, it was not a complete surprise when I got a call from the agent for Rob Schneider looking to bring Rob back to the Punchline stage. Last summer Rob just crushed it when he was at The Punchline. The crowds were crazed and he was the consummate professional on and off stage.

Thankfully, we'll get to see Rob again this summer and apparently we'll be one of the markets that gets a preview of the new stuff for the next special. I'm glad the customers of the Punchline, who are among the best comedy club patrons in the country, will get to be a part of the process. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Review: Tim Wilson Rocks The Punchline

The Punchline - Atlanta's premier comedy club!

There are some comedians who enter a phase of their career that I call the "one more thing and then I've got to go" phase. Like an amateur comedian who doesn't realize that they should have wrapped it up two jokes ago, these grizzled veterans play out the string and push on to the next gig.

Tim Wilson is NOT a comic who fits this profile. Playing a three night engagement at the Punchline in Atlanta, Tim brought an energy and performance pace to his shows that was fast moving and engaging. Peppering his set with crowd favorites, he sampled three decades worth of comedy songs with topical and fresh commentary on the current political climate in America.

If you see a Tim Wilson show advertised nearby, consider making the effort to go see it. He's continues to hit is stride as performer, show after show after show.

Comedian Louis Katz Make His Punchline Debut

The Punchline - Atlanta's premier comedy club!

For more than 29 years, the Punchline has consistently presented the most sought after comedy shows in Atlanta. Louis Katz is a comedian making his debut this weekend on this legendary stage.

Mr. Katz' bio is an interesting read. It states, "Born and raised in Los Angeles, Louis’s comedy career began at the incredibly early age of 9 when as part of a school project he submitted several jokes to “The Tonight Show,” two of which were read on air by Johnny Carson. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he began performing stand-up throughout the Bay Area and quickly made a name for himself. He is now a professional comedian based in New York who can be seen at clubs and colleges across the country.

Louis has performed at the Montreal “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, the Atlanta “Laffapalooza” Comedy Festival, the Amsterdam “Toomler International” Comedy Festival and the Vancouver Comedy Festival. He has appeared on NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” Jamie Foxx’s “America’s Funniest Comics,” and HBO’s “Down & Dirty w/Jim Norton.” His half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” special airs in early 2011, coinciding with the release of his debut comedy album, “If These Balls Could Talk,” on Comedy Central Records."

If you are looking for outstanding comedy in a listening friendly environment, then look no further than the Punchline.

All shows at the Punchline are smoke-free, and there is never a drink minimum at The Punchline. Smoking is for suckers and drink minimums are for losers.
