From Wikipedia: Caparulo graduated from Kent State University. He then started his stand-up career in the night clubs of Cleveland and Pittsburgh in 1997. He spent several years working as a doorman at the Comedy Store in Hollywood and as a groundskeeper at a local golf course.
It wasn't until 2003 that he got his first break at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he was offered a sitcom deal due to his sharp wit, unique delivery, and a passion for using curse words. He applied his blue collar work ethic to the stage, which he now enjoys doing full-time. He has appeared three times on The Tonight Show, a half-hour special on Comedy Central, was featured on Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Next Generation, and is one of the comedians on the Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Tour. He also hosts Mobile Home Disaster on CMT. He regularly appears on the E! show Chelsea Lately.He now has his own uncut, unedited, comedy special that aired on Comedy Central on December 21, 2008 called John Caparulo: Meet Cap.

He has appeared on several television shows, most notably Live at Gotham on Comedy Central, the syndicated Comics Unleashed and CBS's Late Late Show. In 2007, Paul Ogata won the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition[2], joining a list of previous winners which include Dana Carvey, Sinbad and Jake Johannsen.
