Why We Don't Have A Rating System For Our Shows.....

I get a few emails every month from customers wondering why we don't have a ratings system for our shows.

The simple answer, and perhaps partial cop out, is that if you are laughing then you don't think it's dirty. If you aren't then it's profane.

We are cautious about applying a subjective rating, because we do not want to substitute our judgment for that of our customers. Do we rank on language or subject matter? Do we create an expectation that the R rated comedians will have a hard time living up to?

In the end there is always Google. Comedians run websites which are pretty representative of the material that they are doing and what their show is about.

Finally, not every movie you go see wins an Oscar or is entertaining for that matter. If you go to see a movie that disappoints you don't usually swear off going to the movies. We make every effort to ensure that out shows are solid artistically, diverse, and the best you can find in Atlanta. We trust that our comedians pursue those same goals. The Punchline has succeeded at presenting comedy shows considered among the best in the country for more than a quarter century. Give us, and the comedians the benefit of the doubt. You're likely to be entertained.
