Monday Morning Quarterback.....Tuesday Afternoon.
I am day late with this post, but this past weekend was pretty terrific.
The folks at the Ugly Mug had the second Punchline Neighborhood Comedy Series, and around 100 people turned out to see Vinnie Capolla and Tim McCarthy. We are pleased that this is turning in to a real nice event. We continue to have discussions with our next additions to the series, and hope to have an announcement about those establishments soon.
I did a gig on Saturday night over at 103West at the last minute for a comedian who was not able to make the gig. It went pretty well as holiday parties can, and I have several more gigs of this type over the next couple of weeks.
Always remember that if you are looking for a comedian to come to you, we have access to nearly everyone in the business.
Finally, Jim Gaffigan had a great weekend. We were just nearly sold out the first show Friday, and both shows on Saturday were sold out. The people who came to see the shows this past weekend really got a great show from top to bottom, as Rich Brooks and Jason Kantor filled out the show nicely.
I don't think that we'll book Jason back with an act like Jim however. Gaffigan is very much in the Brian Regan mold - namely smart, without being gratuitously graphic. Jason takes a different approach.
The very busy holiday season is in full swing for us.
