Two Years Past Katrina

It's the second anniversary of Katrina and the Gulf Coast is still destroyed for the most part and the people of that region are still suffering.

Parenting Choices......



This video is my now three year old daughter passing her swimming test. I may have posted it on this blog previously, but I am reposting it now because it gets commented on fairly regularly.

For the record, we learned of the ISS program when looking for a way to keep our young children water safe when at my family's lake home outside of Atlanta. While it is difficult to watch, I can assure you that it is more difficult on the first day of lessons.

Most importantly it works. Haydn, like her sisters who have also done the program, loves the water.

If you wanted to save your child's life would you want them to survive or to have had a pleasant experience when getting the training. We chose giving her a chance to survive in the event of an emergency. I'd be interested to read your thoughts.
